This is a beautifully designed purse in sterling silver with floral repousse decoration and a small central purse inside. It has a compartment on either side in shot dark green silk and could have held a small pencil and dance card along with coins. It is stamped for Birmingham 1906 and has stamping on the front and the back. The silver and chains are in excellent condition.

The person who buys this would be someone who is fascinated by the tradition of the past and understands that provenance tells a story. This bag was well used and loved and being in original condition shows wear to the fabric inside which does not detract from the beauty of the object itself.
