Azurite was used throughout history in various ways.  One of the most interesting was the Egyptian ritual of using ground azurite to paint the eye of Horus on people's foreheads as a mark of protection.

It has a high copper content and is regenerative as well as detoxifying. Also believed to relieve conditions that are age related and to help with concentration and independence. Sometimes called 'the stone of heaven'.
